Keep your credit union’s digital banking strategy moving forward

With the recent update from Central 1 that it anticipates migrations to its new digital banking platform will begin sometime in 2019, with a larger migration project starting in 2020, Canadian credit unions now have more clarity on when you can move from MemberDirect® to the Smart UX Backbase platform.

Working together with Central 1, Celero is offering our current MemberDirect clients with extension agreements through to December 31, 2020. The extension agreements will be structured to ensure you have the flexibility to exit your agreement in favor of a migration to Central 1’s Backbase platform as that program advances.

The extension agreements enable credit unions to expand the MemberDirect services you offer now and ensures continuity of those capabilities when your credit union transitions to the Smart UX Backbase platform.

That means credit unions don’t need to press pause when it comes to enhancing the digital banking capabilities you offer to members.

Keep your digital strategy moving forward in 2018 and beyond with the following MemberDirect products:

MemberDirect Small Business
Straightforward to use and accessible anytime, anywhere, MemberDirect Small Business offers unique features that help small business customers better manage their finances so they can stay focused on their core business. With a feature set that competes with the Big Five Banks, help enable your current small business members and grow your small business portfolio. Additional features such as Invoicing and Payroll will assist in establishing MemberDirect’s Small Business as table stakes for any small business members.
MemberDirect Mobile App
If you haven’t already, it’s time your credit union provided an app to your members. Designed for iPhone and Android™ phones, it allows your members to easily stay on top of their accounts and perform their daily banking all on a mobile platform they know, trust and use every day. Recognized by Forrester as the #1 Mobile Banking App 3 years in a row (2014-2016), which places the Central 1 Mobile App among the top 3 leaders according to Forrester Global Mobile Banking Benchmark 2016 scoring.
Mobile Pay
With Mobile Pay, credit union members can use the wallet feature on their Android smart phone to enable their Membercard for payment of goods and services at businesses that accept INTERAC Flash® or the Tap feature.

Offer your members a self-serve option to view, save and print documents from their MemberDirect online banking site. The availability of e-Documents functionality will eventually eliminate the need to print and mail select documents to your members.
Extended Strong Personal Access Code (PAC)
Targeted for availability in May, this feature increases security and improve fraud protection for both credit unions and members. Implementing Extended PAC is required for those CUs planning on offering expanded mobile payments where members can purchase goods and services using their Member Card with mobile devices where INTERAC Flash is accepted.

Provide the features and digital banking capabilities your members want today, and be assured your investments will be worthwhile into the future.
