Swan Valley Credit Union protects their domains with Celero’s Dark Web monitoring service

August 07, 2018
Swan River - Manitoba, August 7, 2018 – Swan Valley Credit Union has partnered with Celero to implement a new Dark Web monitoring service provided by ID Agent. This service gives Swan Valley Credit Union around the clock monitoring and alerting for their three domains. Dark Web monitoring scours millions of sources, including botnets, criminal chat rooms, peer-to-peer networks, malicious websites, bulletin boards and illegal black market sites.

This service informs Swan Valley Credit Union of threats to their domains, which come in a variety of ways. With corporate data breaches, phishing attacks, watering hole attacks and malvertising being very present in today’s world, having insight into the vulnerabilities of your domains is an invaluable service. In addition to detecting compromises, the service sheds light on many of the poor password setting behaviours individuals often have, which will promote better employee practises for setting strong passwords.

“We receive notifications as soon as potential compromises to our systems appear on the Dark Web,” said Stephen Tanner, chief information officer, Swan Valley Credit Union. “Now we can take action and get ahead of any leaked credentials and coach our team on the importance of cybersecurity.”

Dark Web ID is the industry’s only commercial solution available to detect compromised credentials on the Dark Web. It vigilantly searches the most secretive corners of the Internet to find compromised data associated with your employees, contractors, and other personnel and notifies the organization contact when these critical assets are compromised. There are a few competitors in the market, but none completely focused on the Dark Web as ID Agent’s solution.

“Dark Web ID delivers an affordable solution that can provide credit unions with advanced credential monitoring capabilities,” said Mohsin Syed, general manager, Managed Infrastructure and Cloud Services for Celero. “This tool enables credit union partners to take appropriate action based on timely information.”

Celero can provide a free one-time scan of your compromises. Please reach out to your Celero account executive and contact us today.
