Celero hires data scientist to bolster its analytics practice for credit unions

March 28, 2017
Celero began its journey to launch an analytics practice last year by collaborating with credit unions across the country to ensure the products and services we offer meet the unique needs of Canadian credit unions.

In addition to partnering with OnApproach to develop an open and agnostic data integration platform credit unions can use to harness the power of analytics, Celero is adding to our team of data science experts to provide advice and guidance to clients wherever they may be on their analytics journey.

We’re very pleased to welcome Dr. Jeff Diamond to Celero and our analytics practice as our lead data scientist.

In addition to obtaining degrees in mathematics and physics, Jeff holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Manitoba. He has a strong background in applied mathematics, statistics and stochastic modeling, queuing theory, machine learning, scheduling, simulation, and optimization. Jeff has multiple patents to his credit and has published numerous scientific papers. He has 20 years of experience developing advanced analytics solutions in many domains, including telecommunications, healthcare, cybersecurity and applied cryptography, oil and gas and sustainable development.

In his new role with Celero, Jeff will help credit unions explore what’s possible with the data they have available and combine data and scientific modelling to tailor solutions to help credit unions gain greater insights into their business and evolve their member experience.
