Celero named one of Canada’s Best Small & Medium Employers in 2018

November 09, 2017
Celero is proud to announce the company has been recognized as one of Canada’s Best Small & Medium Employers for 2018 by Aon.  The honor recognizes Canadian organizations that have created an exemplary workplace environment based on the results of an employee opinion survey administered by Aon. Celero was also awarded Aon’s prestigious Platinum status in the Best Small and Medium Employer category, for fully meeting the requirements of the Aon program and achieving a top-quartile engagement score.

A financial technology company, Celero employs 230 team members in Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg and home offices across Canada.

“Strengthening employee engagement is a top priority of our organization,” said Bob Reczka, chief executive officer of Celero. “We understand the value and power of highly engaged team members to creating success for Celero and cultivating a positive work environment that helps us attract and retain top talent and has a visible and beneficial impact on our relationships with our clients and partners.”

Aon’s Best Employer program is the premier benchmark for assessing the quality and performance of Canadian and global workplaces. To compile the list of top employers, Aon Hewitt conducts a study based on four indices of workplace effectiveness: engagement, leadership, performance culture and employer brand.

“This recognition is a validation of our ongoing efforts to create an engaging and progressive work environment for our team,” said Gerry Cox, Celero’s Chief People and Culture Officer. “With feedback and support from team members, Celero has developed and implemented progressive human resources practices and policies aimed at supporting work-life balance, invested in learning and development programs to drive career growth, and deployed tools and technology to help team members work collaboratively and productively.

“Becoming a Best Employer in Canada is the culmination of a collaborative effort across Celero,” added Gerry. “It wasn’t the executive team, a specific department or leader who helped us achieve Platinum status. Our entire team came together to make Celero one of the top companies to work for in the country, and we’ll continue to work hard to retain that standing.”
